Give & Go is a personalised mentoring and coaching experience, providing a unique and direct insight into elite sport, and designed to help aspiring players take their game to the next level.

Delivered by Ollie Willars, an experienced player and coach, freshly retired from 138 international hockey appearances, the programme is designed to benefit talented young hockey players in all aspects of life.

Tailored to the strengths and needs of each individual, Give & Go will help build a self-belief that drives young players to show their true strengths and be the best version of themselves that they can be - both on and off the hockey pitch.

Give & Go is unique, because never before has there been a mentoring and coaching experience that combines all aspects of the hockey life in this way.

“Over an eight-year international career with Great Britain & England, I have developed a significant knowledge of the technical aspects of hockey as well as a widely acknowledged level of tactical understanding. I also learned at an early age that I possess the ability to motivate those around me to push themselves to be their best. I believe that this is one of my super-strengths. As I have moved into coaching, I have developed a reputation as a powerful communicator, who delivers information in a clear, concise and positive way.”

“In my development years, through school, club and representative hockey, I experienced many of the highs and lows that go with the territory for young, talented, aspiring athletes. From the incredible high of winning a Bronze Medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games to the crushing low of missing out on selection for the Olympic Games in Rio, I have learned how to both manage success and bounce back from disappointment. My role now is to use this special set of skills and experiences to guide others and help them become the best hockey player they can possibly be.”
